Round II
Round I
Greater Pollock Development Company
Greater Pollok JobRotation, a model for Lifelong Learning
Greater Pollok and The Workers Education Association Scotland will be providing a new programme to support workforce development called Greater Pollok JobRotation. The project will be jointly funded for three years by EQUAL, part of the European Social Fund programme and Greater Pollok Development Company.
JobRotation supports company and staff development by providing vocational training for selected staff and supplying trained previously unemployed people as workers to substitute for the staff released for training.
Companies can access substantial vocational training for existing employees by recruiting an additional worker as a JobRotation Trainee or substitute. The company provides a work placement for the JobRotation Trainee for 6 months at the going rate for the job. The JRT substitutes for and may release up to 4 existing staff members for training. Training is agreed with the company and paid for through JobRotation.
The flexibility of the JobRotation tool makes it possible to tailor it to the needs of individual companies, specific local challenges, and to the needs of individual learners.
Learning Opportunities

JobRotation assists companies to improve their performance, by developing the skills, motivation and overall contribution of both existing staff and potential employees.
